An assisted living program is available for apartment residents who require minimum-to-moderate assistance in order to maintain independent living. Costs are assessed according to services performed and added to the monthly maintenance fee on the monthly statement. The Nebraska Masonic Home reserves the right to adjust fees.
As we grow older, we may find it more difficult to do many tasks that once were considered to be routine. It is frequently difficult to acknowledge that we need assistance. However, needs change and if we wish to continue living a high quality of life and maintain our dignity, assistance is sometimes the solution.
Arrangements for assisted living services can be made through Mary Stapp, Executive Director. The following information outlines The Nebraska Masonic Home's Assisted Living Program.
The items listed below are considered part of the apartment maintenance fee and are not considered Assisted Living Charges:
- 24 hour emergency nursing care assistance - No charge.
- Monthly blood pressure check & medication assessment - No charge.
- Consultation for minor health problems including the need for a doctor or dentist visit - No charge.
- Assistance with problem solving in regard to hearing aids, glasses, dentures, prosthesis or personal care items - No charge.
The above examples are not inclusive of assistance available. Residents are encouraged to ask for assistance in solving any problems of daily living they may encounter.
The resident furnishes all medications. A list of some of the services available follows. The costs of these services are added to the monthly maintenance fee found on the monthly statement.
